KZN Dance Link

KZN DanceLink has existed since 1999 as an umbrella organisation for dance of all styles found in the province of KwaZulu-Natal.

We are a membership organisation which aims to develop and deepen links across South African dance genres, across professional and community dance, across theatre and social dance, traditional dance and new popular fashions. Our membership ranges from professional dance companies based in the province, through community dance groups, dance studios of all types of dance, dance teachers and promoters, and supporters of dance in all its manifestations.

We run dance development projects for both professional dancers and young people.

We celebrate dance in all its diversity with our annual KZN DanceLink Durban Dance Awards. The latest Awards were made on the 28th February 2015. See Awards for a full report.

We offer performance experience and entertain audiences for dance in unexpected places, building an understanding of the power of dance to enrich our lives and connect to one another. Look in Imbumba and Giyani Lusha. Our most recent celebration of young people dancing together was held on the 28th of February 2015: GIYANI LUSHA AT THE STABLE THEATRE.
